Almost a year after the initial COVID-19 lockdown I we finally have time to update our website to help the community with a Hampton Motors garage update. Aside from a short period of closure in the early days of lockdown, we have remained open during this strange period as per the government guidelines.
As an essential service, we have remained committed to following and going above and beyond government guidelines.
Is you MOT valid after the lockdown?
The DVLA/Government’s response to extend MOT dates back in 2020 no doubt helped vulnerable motorists who were unable to leave home to renew MOT tests. This led an increase in MOT tests at the end of the scheme, but now we are noticing many motorists who are confused by MOT dates or unaware that their daily driver does not in fact have a valid MOT.
You can check your MOT status here or we can do this for you – simply drop us an email here.
What changes have you made at Hampton Motors?
We have continued to monitor both government’s guidance as well as industry advice to ensure we are going above an beyond the protection of our customers. From a substantial sneeze screen in our reception and associated sanitry products, we have also invested in disposible wraps and cleaners to protect the interior of each car.
Further, we have switched to an appointment-only service, and staggered drop offs and collections to minimise the chance of customers meeting in our reception.
As a small business, we treat every customer with dignity and the utmost care and respect. We are proud of our reputation in the local community and thank you for your continued business during these difficult times.
Our thoughts go out to everyone who has been touched by this virus.
